In this episode we walk you through the process of setting up the development environment on the OSX El Capitan Operating System. We start out by ensuring that we have the right setup for folder permissions. We then quickly proceed on to installing Homebrew the package manager for OSX. Once we have Homebrew up and running we move on to setting up rbenv and install ruby 2.3.0 on our system. We then configure the ~/.bash_profile to ensure that all the paths are set correctly. Once all that is done we proceed on to installing bundler and rails. We finish off with setting up the PostgreSQL database and the paths to ensure everything works correctly. #ZACKSIRI Twitter - [http://twitter.com/zacksiri](http://twitter.com/zacksiri) #LINKS Homebrew - [http://brew.sh/](http://brew.sh/) Postgres App - [http://postgresapp.com/](http://postgresapp.com/) Rbenv - [http://rbenv.org/](http://rbenv.org/) #SOCIAL Twitter - [http://twitter.com/codemynet](http://twitter.com/codemynet) Facebook - [http://facebook.com/codemy.net](http://facebook.com/codemy.net)
